I tried it, the first year I ha...Ok, I'll bite. <br><br>I tried it, the first year I had the garden. It was a nightmare. I wound up with a potato virus in my soil. I dug up all the soil in that part of the garden and replaced it with dirt. The virus is still there, and wrecks any potato's I try to grow. The agrologist tells me it might go away in about 5 years. Maybe. <br><br>The dirt to replace what I had was about $100 (you need black dirt, and there's no point in cheaping out - you make up for the cost in extra yield and less weeding). Plus my time to dig down three feet. <br><br>Seriously, seed potato's are about $5 for an entire box at Rona.
